Pastor Anderson Walker became a part of the New Harvest Church of God, then Parkview Church of God, fellowship in 1986. Effective February 2003, he became the fourth pastor of the congregation. He is knowledgeable in the word of God, a man of prayer, an encourager, and a diligent fisher of men. Pastor Walker's ministry preparation includes, but is not limited to, completed Bible studies of the New Covenant School of Ministry and Theological Seminary and a Master of Divinity Degree from Birmingham Theological Seminary. He is a licensed and ordained minister of the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana).
Pastor Anderson Walker is certified in counseling for Drug Abuse, Marriage, Domestic Violence, and Wellness Training. He is a graduate of the Alabama Institute of Business. He previously served three years as Pastor of Panola (St. Mary's) Church of God (Panola, AL) and he served eight years as President of the Alabama State Church of God Youth Department. He is currently the district chair for the Western district of the Alabama State Church of God.
Pastor Walker is a working man. Although he is retired from General Motors as Family Representative in Labor Relations and as UAW's Vice-President for eight years, he is now employed through Shelton State Community College as an instructor in the Workforce Development Program. He serves on several community, academic, and civic boards. He gives his time to improve the quality of life for others.
Pastor Anderson Walker is married to Carbintine (Harris) Walker and they have three children: Andrea, Allison, and Brandon.
